What Is A Reiki Box?
Many of you might wonder what a Reiki box is. The Reiki box technique is very simple but somewhat underrated. Traditionally, a Reiki Box is, quite literally, a box. You can choose a plain cardboard box, or you can choose a beautifully decorated box chosen especially for this technique, either one will work, it’s simply your choice.
You will take pieces of paper and you will write or draw situations (or “requests”) that you want energy to be sent to. After you write them on the slips of paper, you will put them in your Reiki Box. By doing this, you establish an “energetic signature” for that situation, that you or Reiki can later connect to.
Then, whenever you want, you just send Reiki to the box, intending that it goes to the situations identified by the pieces of paper in the box. This works very well because the energy is guided by your intentions and when you add the requests, you intend that the healing you send to the box goes to them.
Using a physical box however is not mandatory by any means, but most people like the visual of the box and the contents because it makes this technique more meaningful and special. If you decide against a physical box, it’s a personal choice because all that really matters is your intention. You could use a text file, a document, or even a spreadsheet stored on your computer if you like and when you send Reiki, intend that it goes to all the persons and situations mentioned in that file, document or spreadsheet.
