Baby Bird Update
Well, it’s been 12 days since I spotted the bird’s nest in the wreath I have hanging on my front door. The first two little eggs hatched on April 11th and the other two hatched the next day. This is a photo three days later on April 15th showing them all nestled together in this little nest. To give you an idea of how small this nest is, imagine making a fist with your hand; it’s pretty much the same size so these little babies are teeny tiny. Sorry, the pictures aren’t clearer but I am up on a ladder trying to be discreet and not bother the mother or the nest so it’s a bit awkward.
The mother has been guarding the nest around the clock and she picked a perfectly peaceful spot on my porch away from all of the wind and other elements. I will keep you updated on their progress…
