MY OWN PERSONAL OASIS…
As I write this, the rain is coming down gently and providing all my beautiful plants a healing dose of natural nutrients. I am sitting on my patio under the covering sipping my morning coffee and enjoying the sound of the rain. My new tabletop fountain is also providing some soothing sounds of trickling water so I am doubly blessed this morning being able to enjoy this soundsational experience.
I have been working in the yard trying to get things trimmed, organized and cleaned up in anticipation of an Anniversary party we are having for my parents to celebrate 60 years of marriage. My parents are 88 and 89 years old and are blessed to still be able to live independently despite a few limitations and health challenges. It will be so nice to bring the extended family together for this monumental event in August.

I have three sisters so everyone will be coming to share the event and help create new memories. We are all very excited to be able to bring everyone together especially since we don’t see much of each other due to crazy work schedules, family obligations and distance. My yard is slowly coming together as you can see from the photo. It has been alot of fun to watch the plants grow and transform over the last month. I feel truly grateful and excited that everyone has set aside time to help make this a very special day for my parents.
Well, I have finished my coffee and am ready to start my next project of assembling a few raised planters to host an array of beautiful flowers in front of the house so I had better get to it while the weather is cool and before the phone starts ringing with work related issues.
