Summer Beauty…
As the days become warmer, it is quite apparent that the seeds of spring are now stretching their little arms in gratitude for the warmth of the summer sun. My flowers are exceptional this year and I suspect it was due to the benefits of the added rain we received last year. I went to the Iris farm outside of Ruidoso a few years ago and purchased some interesting colors to add to my existing purple ones. The first year they were lovely and the second year they offered up more blooms, but this year for some reason, they have exploded in supreme glory with longer stems, double blooms and blooms that lasted longer than ever before. Perhaps it’s the fact that I dote on them daily and whisper loving thoughts to them as I cultivate the soil and water them. I choose to believe they know how grateful I am for their ongoing beauty.
