Qiqong – Cardiovascular Fitness
As the days get shorter and it gets darker earlier, we all have to make adjustments to our schedules to fit everything in. I like to take my dog for a walk after work but I don’t like to go in the dark so I decided I would make a small adjustment and buy myself a little compact treadmill. Since I love the NBA and try not to miss a game for my team the Golden State Warriors, I have made a deal with myself that I will walk on my new treadmill during the first half of the game or for the first half hour of a movie that I decide to watch.
I am trying to make sure I have some form of movement every day so with my new Qigong routine I have established, I am hoping to work in a little cardio every other day. My last treadmill ended up being a lovely receptacle for all my clothes that I was too lazy to hang up. I would like to think I have changed my ways and that this time, I will actually use it and stick to my plan.
I will keep you posted as the darkness sets in before 5:00pm over the next few weeks. I am hoping to log some miles each week while enjoying the basketball game; that way, it’s a win/win situation. Of course my solution isn’t going to solve my dog’s problem of not getting her evening walk so I will work on that one and get back to you.
