Prayers Needed
Today didn’t start out as initially intended with an early morning phone call that woke me up. My heart always leaps to attention when the phone goes off at very early or very late phone calls because it is usually news that we don’t want to hear or face. My lovely neighbor has been dealing with issues surrounding her husband’s health and things were moving along in the right direction and looking like he was going to be able to come home soon after a rough week in intensive care.
This morning, however, the phone call was not good news and she wanted to know if I could take her to the hospital because she didn’t trust herself to drive. She had received an early morning phone call of her own telling her she had better get to the hospital as soon as possible. As we drove along, I was trying to figure out things to say to offer her comfort while trying not to say the wrong thing to upset her more. She said she was really worried about what she could possibly say to him at this point, knowing that the situation is so dire and the treatment options left are few.
I asked for guidance from my angels to help offer words of comfort to my very dear friend and managed to relay the messages that were coming to me. I also told her I would be available any time day or night to pick her up or do anything else she might need at home. It’s so hard to imagine being in that position and just as difficult to watch those you love struggling with decisions and possible outcomes that are unplanned and unexpected. I pray things change and that he is able to come home; I believe in miracles and have been praying since he entered the hospital. These are two of the lovliest people I know and it hurts my heart to see them struggling with this situation. Please send your thoughts and prayers to my dear friend and her husband, we will all appreciate the wonderful thoughts and concerns. There is power in prayer and he needs that power now. If you could light a candle for him during your daily meditation or routine, that would also be appreciated. Thank you…
