It is getting cooler in the mornings which is so nice when I take my dog for a walk. Fall is definitely in the air and I for one, cannot be any more excited about that. I love the fact that we have four distinct seasons here in Albuquerque. When I lived in California, I loved the weather there because it was mild all year round for the most part. When I move here 20 years ago, I felt like I was treated to yet another gift because I got to experience all four seasons and have been delighted ever since.

I am excited to experience the fall colors emerging from red to gold and then gold to yellow; they are all so stunningly beautiful. I have two ash trees in my yard that turn the most beautiful color of burgundy before dropping all their leaves. They look quite majestic in the fall and add some wonderful color as the weather changes.
I am also getting excited for Balloon Fiesta here in Albuquerque. It’s a magical time of year and such a delight to see all the different balloons high in the air for a week long treat. If you have never experienced the early morning mass ascension, I would highly recommend it. In my humble opinion, there is nothing like it; it gives you a rush unlike any other!
