TO GROUND OR NOT TO GROUND…
I have been faithfully using the grounding techniques from one of the recent articles we posted but unfortunately, I am going to have to change up my method due to some unexpected visitors. I have been going out early in the morning and sitting on my grass or in a chair with my feet touching the grass. I generally do my morning meditation and enjoy the sunshine and morning breezes while it’s cool. For most of the summer, this has worked beautifully but for some reason, this week I have been inundated with tiny little gnat-like visitors that seem to take great joy in munching on my ankles. The thing is, they do it so fast that you can’t escape with only one or two bites.
I have so many small bites on both feet that my ankles have swollen up quite noticeably. The bites are unusual because they immediately itch like crazy, but they also hurt to touch them which sounds strange. I have no idea what these little pests are, but I am no longer able to enjoy my lawn in the morning. I have moved my ritual to my flagstone patio which is nice but I sure do miss the beautiful grass under my feet. I am hoping these little guys decide to vacate in the fall and move on so I can resume my ritual. Until then, me and my cortisone tube are keeping great company.
As I look around the yard, certain plants are already exhibiting signs of fall arriving early. It’s going to be fun to see if the temperatures drop rapidly around Balloon Fiesta time as in prior years or whether it will remain warm up until Halloween. I love the changing of the seasons and am looking forward to fall this year and some declining temperatures.
