Because Leadership Insures Progress
How many times have we seen company rosters filled with alot of mid-management positions with impressive titles but yet no real leadership at the top? It takes a very special person to assume the role of “the leader”, especially if the group below them is fraught with discord, internal challenges and other dramas. Some people are born leaders and others are content to fall in line and take on the supporting role to the leader. For any situation that involves different personalities, different perspectives and different expectations, there must be a leader in order to insure the progress of that group. Whether it is a group of children playing a game or a group of adults trying to launch a new product line, someone steps up to be the leader to help guide the others. You may have been involved in a group where no one wanted to volunteer to run the show so consequently, the group couldn’t quite get to the finish line because there was no one there to carry them to that finish line. Leadership is essential in most situations and helps to achieve the intended goals and give a little extra insurance that those goals will be reached and that progress will be made.
