Believe Life Is Phenomenal
When you stop to think about your life and all the opportunities and choices we have in this country, it’s really mind-blowing. We have the ability to shop from the comfort of our couch, we can have a Zoom meeting without even having to change our clothing, we can order meal delivery with the click of a button on our phone, we can listen to music, podcasts, send emails and even do work from our smartphones all while riding in an Uber so we don’t have to drive. We have become so accustomed to the convenience that we don’t stop and take the time to think about how lucky we are compared to other countries. Never in all my years would I ever have thought we would be as technologically advanced back when I was using columnar pads and a manual calculator to crank numbers on a spreadsheet, using an old IBM Selectric Typewriter, and putting 3-1/2″ floppy discs in my old desktop computer with a monitor the size of Texas. I remember back when I thought my first laptop was the holy grail. Never mind the fact that it was as heavy as a doorstop and slow to process a lot of data. Now, by comparison, they are razor-thin and light as a feather, and much more affordable. How we have come a long way. To me, there is only one word to describe it…PHENOMENAL
